"Ambushed by her sworn enemy Countess Eddatrix, Meira finds herself imprisoned within a vast crypt deep beneath the Countess' tower. The barbarian heaves mightily against her chains to no avail, her strength drained by the Countess' spells. Before long, the creak of decrepit limbs begins to echo off the dark stone of the cavern. Roused from eternal slumber by an ever-vigilant dark master, scores of reanimated skeletons emerge from ancient caskets & the ground itself, lurching their way towards the captured warrioress. Meira quickly finds herself in the grip of cold, bony fingers. Her skeletal captors only snap & click their jaws in mute triumph, unable to utter proper words. Presiding over the host is a towering winged skeleton with a gold circlet set upon his skull. Meira recognizes him as the Lord of Undeath himself, his original name long since lost to the ages. His mouth hangs open in ghastly silent laughter as he beckons his cadaverous minions to ferry their newest offering to his throne room. Alas, Meira knows she cannot expect a quick end from the undead Lord. Instead, Meira will face a thousand torments as the Dark Lord attempts to extract her soul, enslaving her spirit for his own ends and leaving her body a empty husk."
