yeah you are, you're too hung up on the names, why does it matter so much, so much so that you have to comment, do you go all around correcting everyone? im paid to draw these characters and these names are given to me, i couldn't careless what their actual names really are or aren't, some fans refer to them as this and some fans refer to that as that, who cares its not a big deal, move on

It matters because it's disrespectful to the masters who created and designed these versions of the classic characters.  How would you feel if you created a character and someone came along and picked it up and started changing a bunch of things about it just to fit their own twisted headcanon?  I can tell you from experience that it doesn't feel very pleasant.

Then again, considering your portfolio (which is fairly impressive in your actual skill level, I admit), I doubt that respect has much to do with your art and why you do it...  Still, here and here are some videos about why it matters.

And yes, whenever I come across art that uses this name, I do try to leave a comment.  Thanks for asking!

i basically drawing porn, but the most disrespectful thing im doing to these characters is using a fan name? i just find that funny

and i definitely get your point about changing someone's character, but on the other hand characters are changed all the time, once you put your character out there and it becomes popular its up for interpretation, you can look at any comic book character, they are constantly changed, whether its from book to book or animated series, live action series, movie and thats just the licensed material, then you have all the fan created things and redesigns.
characters are here for the fans, and i believe fans can do what they want with said character, stay canon or not. how boring it would be if we never had anyone redesigning and putting their own spin on characters, we would have missed out on some awesome and now classic versions

Again... ONE OF.  I think this is the third time I've said that.  And I get your point about fanart and everything, but many people think this is/was officially his name, when it never has been.  It's just the confusion about what's canon and what's not that bugs.

But hey, at least you recognize that you're drawing porn.  That's something... I guess.

I don't see why he thinks it matters so much. It's called "FanArt" for a reason.  There is literally Fan Art EVERYWHERE!!!
