*Logo icon isn't mineThis will probably be my last design for awhile, Suggestions on the music player as I've played around with it for hours and yet it still doesn't go right.

the music player dont look like a music player. perhaps showing its different states might help?
I like the date buttons, thye really need to be on the bigger articles too right?
the red bar at the top imo should be a more neutral colour and change to red on hover. or better yet if each category has a colour then the hover can reflect this and you can carry the colour accent across each category so headers and links etc will pick up the colour. the overall layout/design would really support this well.
can the surfaces in this design are tops. I wonder how this would look with the anti alias turned off too. Fonts never look so shiny live.

Music player probably doesn't look right because there's no option to pause, stop, skip or rewind.

I don't show it here but when you hover over a song the pause would appear, and to scroll to the next song you click and drag like on an ipod touch, goal was to be very minimal as possible. I might try a light color version and shadow it so it looks embedded.
