Another Fire Emblem Picture?

Huh, isn't there enough Fire Emblem pictures in my gallery as it is. I mean the picture is nice and all but wouldn't people complain that there's a bit too much Fire Emblem represenation with the gallery. I mean at this point the pictures that I've made about 4 pictures of Fire Emblem and people would think that I'm pretty bias of this series and says that it was over representitive even though that this picture is quite unique over the other Fire Emblem pictures that I have colored...this one is a concept sheet...

Okay I'm done with this bit

I couldn't resist especially how the character in question is kind of...infamous in the smash community as for my 460th color commission, it's all about that Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses the newest Avatar character from the newest Fire Emblem game. Not really too much of a Fire Emblem fan compared to other people as I don't know too much about this character and the game she's from but I know her a bit though the means of the majority of people know her, through Smash Bros...yeah let's get this out of the way Yes I do get people's frustration about another Fire Emblem character in Smash Bros, yes I do believe that Byleth was released a bit too early...but that's really it. Sure Byleth is my least used DLC in Fighter's Pass 1 due to their movesets not clicking with me compared to the others but give credit where credit is due, the past few new Fire Emblem characters have been unique as they aren't just another pure sword character like with Byleth's case as they can use the other weapons that Fire Emblem is known for with Lances, Axes and Bows which is finally nice to see. Sure it would of been better to have just a character that only uses a Lance or Axe but better than nothing I guess. So yeah I do like the attempt that this character brings even though it's not super gimmicky compared to the other fighters in Fighter's Pass 1 and I still stand by the fact that this character was released a bit too early but hey, at least it's fully out and we don't have to expect another Fire Emblem character for Fighter's Pass 2.

That's my couple of cents on that. Now back to the picture in hand. *looks at the picture*...Oh right, it's a Milestone color commission ^^

So yeah we got ourselves another LAMA concept sheet and this one does indeed focus on Byleth, Female Byleth to be exact. Basic concept sheet really, one pose only shows her wetsuit while the rest of the concept sheet shows Byleth underwater with LAMA gear on...still trying to question how she got LAMA gear but hey, cuteness doesn't need any questions ^^

Anyways you know me about concept sheets, I usually like them when poses and expressions vary from one other to showcase different actions like a concept sheet would. This one goes in a different direction in a way as looking at it a different way, it kind of tells a story. Like in the first pose, you can see that Byleth is only wearing her wetsuit and like in the original game, she likes to fish...although it seems that she is having some bad luck with the catches she caught as all that she got was a tiny fish that is still trying to bite the line without even noticing what is happening. So she said enough, gets her LAMA gear that she magically has with her for reasons unknown, tie her hair to a pony tail and dives underwater as she looks for fish like in the second pose. And in the top mugshot she seems to find a unicorn...fish?...A unifish?...Yeah I got nothing but hey it is something that Byleth found as she is amazed at it as she examines it up close. It would also seem that during her dive she founds something extrodinary that her whole face lights up in the bottom mugshot but what it is exactly, only Byleth can see so use your imagination there.

But hey, having the concept sheet structure like a story is pretty creative and helps paint a picture of what's going on with Byleth and showcasing different stuff instead of being the same thing over and over again. Pretty nice to see how well executed this was.

As for coloring, nothing too much special of how I colored it except for the colors themselves. I used the 3D models from the game butseeing how the 3D models tries to make it like 2D animation I went with the 2D coloring style and uses the colors here which have different shading colors from what I'm used to but it fits the character very well. Only thing to note here is that unlike other LAMA pictures, this one you can see part of the wetsuit in the neck which looking at the first pose of where the wetsuit ends at the neck...yeah you could at least see part of it inside the helmet as well which...whoops, guess that part should of been there the whole time and it only took 8 years to finally fix that error

So yeah, I had a fun time figuring out what colors to use and how to color it.
