Haha from one who knows him, the expresssion is certainly characteristic.

hm. it caught my attention, I guess through this strange angle and difference of sizes compared from his depth of field compared to the girls'. I admire the colors in this, contrasted quite well against the blank sky. his position compliments the perspective as well, but I don't really like his expression

Thank you very much for all your kind words! I can see how his expression might disillusion the shot somewhat, but I think it adds a different spin to it, it's a deviance from emo looks and I-love-you stares. It helps if you know the person, but that's impossible for everyone who sees this picture, so I guess that doesn't apply. Thanks again.
