This is a beautiful picture. I think you braided your hair just fine, too.
I am also partly Native, and have no idea where to begin. I'm part Chippewa.

Let me first comment on your eyes in this picture, they are gorgeous! Β And I will apologize to these people on here ranting and raving about being native. I am ashamed of them for themselves. Although there is a lot to learn about one's past, culture, and ancestors, this is hardly the place for them to be acting that way. I'm 1/4 Cherokee, my great grand-parents were born on the reservation in North Carolina. And that is not the way to act! Tribes often practiced adoption, where they would adopt others into the tribe to live amongst them, sometimes they had no native blood what-so-ever, but was still considered a member of the tribe. Also every tribe has different customs, languages, and religions. There are many tribes not even recognized by the governements ( I say governments because there is aboriginal peoples living all over the globe.) , so for others to say who is indian and who isn't really isn't any of their business, they are not the almighty, because they cannot speak for every tribe, or every chief. They should however be grateful that the younger generations are taking interest in the old ways, and in their own ancestors because so many young kids today are into drugs, alcohol, and bullying others.

@!karhiio, I see your account is de-activated but I'll say this anyway. Being a Native American is not just being associated with a tribe and JUST in the U.S. Anyone who's ancestors were here before the white man is Native American (or if you're mixed, you're part NA). I'm talking all of the Americas not just the U.S. They are all native americans, different regions speak different languages.

Pretty picture. I am 80 percent Native American. I think you braided it just fine.
The feather in your hair is in the wrong place. NA's used feathers to shield sunlight from their eyes as we use sunglasses today. The feather is supposed to be tucked behind the ear, with the feather pointing to your temple, so that the sun isn't visible from your peripheral vision.
Very nice, though.
