Can you believe this is the first time I've drawn Simba? Neither can I! When I draw animals, I'm trying to find my own style but thought I'd practice Disney's style. Only problem is, I used a ref. . it almost looks identical which sucks but I mean, it's a basic pose. I found the image on google --> hereI'm still happy with it though and with the shading this time.

I put lineart on the chin as there wasn't any there so is now more defined. That's for the suggestion ~H-S

That's pretty good for a first try! I was really surprised when I saw this in my deviation messages. With all the outlines you have on it, the chin looks a little off without them. Other than that I think it looks fantastic! Nice job!

Nothing wrong with the style I agree. It's just I didn't want to copy my ref completely but I kinda did except for the smile >.< I keep doing that with refs

Wow thank you, I'm not really good at shading. What I do is look at lots of peoples art and see where they place the shading and also think about where the light is coming from and try to shade it
