I have always found that all of life is fairly subjective, and that we relate to everything that surrounds us through the filters of the 5 senses and our past experience/choices regarding how we process that information. Artistic interpretation is merely a microcosm of a macrocosm...as it were.

Nobody is ever going to see the same thing the exact way.

What I hope...at least on this forum in particular while sharing something as intimate and personal as creativity, that everyone would have an equally open and objective mind. What I call artistic nudes some one with a "tight sphincter" may turn their nose up and call it smut.

Personally, supposing I had actually taken a "smutty" picture of my wife it'd stay in our private collection and I'd not share it with the artistic world.

I always wonder however...are people that get caught in paradigms of criteria for something to be classified as "appropriate" for placement in this category equally as narrow minded and stiff in other parts of their lives?
