Much like last year, I planned on not bothering with a Christmas picture this time. Then I had to go and listen to "It's a Pony Kind of Christmas". After hearing this song (www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYOH0L⦠) I just had to illustrate it. I briefly considered doing Pinkie Pie's "Twelve Days of Christmas", but then I remembered that I need sleep to function properly. And in case you're wondering, yes, I did pretty much throw perspective at the wall to see what stuck.As always this is for all of you wonderful people (over 2,000 by now) who seem to like my scribblings and splashings well enough to keep watching.

That looks friggin' scary. I'd most definitely be terrified like Applejack and Rarity. I think Pinkie's not afraid only because she's so OP and can survive anything.

This is visually and emotionally stupendous. I love how everyone's shedding eyeball water for completely different reasons (except Rarity, who'd rather not mess up her mascara). Your artistic style is really pleasing to the eye, and it's even more so when the scene you choose to illustrate is, in itself, also eye-pleasing, with snowy roofs, white-coated mountains, and a town consisting old-fashioned little cottages. The curve of the Earth and those zippy little speed lines add a lot of fun, too.
I'm also very grateful that you didn't try to squeeze Twilight or Fluttershy into the sleigh or anywhere on the ground. With them, Spike's absence would've been highlighted, and this beautiful piece of work would've been downgraded to just another dishearteningly well-executed reminder that he has no business being seen with his alleged friends.

Since the song made no mention of Fluttershy or Twilight, I figured it best to not shoe-horn them in and end up cluttering up the picture. I could have put Twilight and Spike somewhere on the ground, but it would have contradicted the idea of them hiding from Rainbow Dash.

That song was one of the better songs on that album. Dashie can sing, plus, I can just see her doing exactly as she said in the song.
You did a very nice job with the coloring. Having all of the ponies front and center in the focal point with all of their colors works wonderfully against the mostly white background.
Pinkie would be enjoying it.

Well, Ashleigh Ball does have a lovely singing voice, whether she's in-character or using her natural timbre.
Generally, centering a subject is somewhat of a compositional faux pas, but here it couldn't really be helped, and I seem to have gotten away with it.
