Much like last year, I planned on not bothering with a Christmas picture this time. Then I had to go and listen to "It's a Pony Kind of Christmas". After hearing this song (www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYOH0L⦠) I just had to illustrate it. I briefly considered doing Pinkie Pie's "Twelve Days of Christmas", but then I remembered that I need sleep to function properly. And in case you're wondering, yes, I did pretty much throw perspective at the wall to see what stuck.As always this is for all of you wonderful people (over 2,000 by now) who seem to like my scribblings and splashings well enough to keep watching.

Here's a slightly random tid-bit; apparently male Reindeer shed their antlers in december, so on Christmas day, male Reindeer do not have antlers, but female reindeer do. So, all of the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh would be female, as males lose their antlers on the one day of the year that Santa flies.
Unless his reindeer are magical and don't follow rules.
Anyways, this fact of the day made me imagine the mane 6 (and possibly other favorite background ponies, somehow I can't not imagine Spike as Rudolph oddly) as Santa's Reindeer in disguise, pulling the sleigh. Or Reindeer-fied mane six doing so. Then this fanart comes along being all perf.

Considering Santa's reindeer are capable of faster-than-light flight, I doubt that they're too concerned with any set of rules.
The whitetails around here typically shed their antlers in early Spring, which is about the time I've found most of the sheds in my collection.

Deer lose their antlers in late winter to early spring so they would still have their antlers at Christmas, they'd just look quite tatty.Β
