Well, the piece does take place at night, right? So the background is pretty good at conveying that (maybe the night sky could be a little darker), but the main subject, Lukas, looks as though it is day more so than anything. I see what you tried to do with the shading, but I think with nighttime work what works best is that the character is all shaded to match the nighttime, with highlights from the light sources, ie the moon. The parts that you have shaded here can be even darker. It's kinda wordy to explain, maybe take a look at my one year redo piece (Re-Doing my first digital art piece ) also looks at other peoples night-time works, better artists than me of course. Look at how things look in the night, but don't make the subject so dark so that you can't see anything. Just not daytime!
