Description
In support of past, current, and future BFing moms everywhere. It's not easy. People will judge based on ignorance and oversensitivity. Be strong, sisters. You're all wonderful and you shouldn't have to hide in shame.Related content

This is exactly something that Wonder Woman would do.

I love Wonder Woman's motherly expression you've captured.

I believe that babies in children's cartoons should be breastfed, which can help promote the value of breastfeeding for babies, and help change perceptions on the naturalistic breastfeeding of babies in a positive way, even though some children who were not breastfed might feel jealous when they see scenes of naturalistic breastfeeding of babies.
My message regarding the naturalistic breastfeeding of babies is simple: Natural, not offensive - such pieces should not have a "mature" rating.
Please spread my #naturalnotoffensive hashtag to help promote the naturalistic breastfeeding of babies as not being offensive!

... I think there is some parallel here.. that has nothing to do with "ignorance or sensitivity".. I think its something different all together. Like a change in mental gears.
I was talking to a woman at work, and to sum it up, it was like this "My kid can see violent things, but he can't see boobies or nookie, that would bother me"
As a male, when your making love to a woman, and your seeing her breast bounce because your getting into it.. or maybe she's riding you? who knows...
Well then as a woman or a guy when your out in public and you see a baby suckling on a nice pert breast, and maybe you were doing the same thing awhile back...Β your in a different state of mind than the woman doing the actual breast feeding, that's my theory. And so this is why women and men, are like "Yo what's up with this breast feeding in public?"
I'm sure some pro psychologist or something has written up a big report explaining why we behave this way... probably be an interesting read.
Anyways, I find this topic really interesting, but only from a "Its interesting how people change mental gears and context of things"..

Thanks for the well thought out reply. I guess "Context" would be a better way of putting it than I did. But I've never claimed to be "eloquent with my wording or visuals,'' always room for improvement! lol.

I agree that context is very powerful in determining initial impressions. The brain is efficient (some people say lazy) and loves shortcuts. It's also resistant to change. So, if you're used to viewing one thing in a certain way and you have a strong association, you willfully have to train yourself to think differently. Patience and understanding go a long way.
