FINAL UPDATE: I'm actually going to let this one sit--I have an idea for a much better (more action-y) pose already, so this one will be set to one side as a reference picture.
Aaaand it's the return of Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts Gru, complete with Keyblades!
About the Keyblades: So this is my interpretation of the wonderful Anna-Aurion's Heartblades designs .
Prototype is metallic like Gru's airship (notice the spikes coming out of the handles?); I also made the guard around the handle tilted on purpose--if you saw it standing straight up and down, you'd notice the guard is actually a slanted parallelogram.
Moon Wish (glee!) is seemingly more cute, but is actually pretty deadly. The moon near the guard is edged with blades. The kittens' ears are blades. The unicorn's horn AND mane are blades. (Why does the unicorn have a mane when it should be bald? Well, it's the only way I could make it look like a proper Keyblade.) So Moon Wish is very very pointy (added bonus--it seems that Moon Wish ALSO glows in the dark!).

This is seventy brands of fab! If he were to appear in Kingdom Hearts, this is what he darn better look like. It'll be a cold day in Hell when disney entertains Universal like that, but at least they have a model to follow should it occur.
I'm loving this actiony pose, so I'm looking forward to seeing what new MORE actiony pose you have planned
