Here's my half of my trade withI gotta say this one proved a challenge cause I didn't have the proper colors but hopefully I managed well enough that you enjoy my half of this trade. I looked through the other images of Aquatic Fenis to get some inspriation and what came to mind was him being all battle ready, standing on the surface of an ocean ready to use the water to bring the hurt.

I went on a sort of crusade looking for people interested in trades. I even made a folder for all the trades/contests/gifts/commissions I've done. 12 trades, 6 commissions, 2 collabs, 11 contests and 7 gifts.

This is an awesome drawing. Might I give a few pointers? I would call this drawing an monochromatic color drawing (same color with different tones). The figure looks great, but I think the surrounding area could have popped out bit more. Try using darker colors in a few areas to add more depth. Like remember where your light source is to determined where the shadows can go. Hope this helps.

Most of the issue came when I scanned it and because I lacked the right colors for this guy. Also since the figure's body was darker by comparison I liked the idea of the background being lighter. Wasn't REALLY going for him being in any real scene, just more of a pose with an interesting background is all.

Well, this is the good thing about being an artist, we can have some artistic liberties. Have you seen some of my fan art stuff of other MLP OCs? Few don't look exactly like the subject matter. Just as long as you get the 'essence' of the char.
