"I've never been so far away from home before, not that I had just one. My family always moves from different places because of my parent's job. I guess journalism is difficult work. Since I've been moving from city to city, I've never been able to actually make any friends. Heck, I can't even keep a pet because my mom and dad don't feel that it's normal... even if they do write about strange happenings ALL THE TIME. Yeah, it's kinda lonely not having friends. But I always have music to keep me company with all of the recent moving around. You know, I actually don't know anyone other than my parents. I haven't been able to see any relatives, not even my grandparents. I do sometimes wonder what they would've been like. So far, everything has been normal actually. That was until... we moved into Elmore. My parents said that it was a gold mine for writing about strange and crazy stuff, so we wouldn't be moving for a while. They signed me up for Elmore Junior High, and I think that's about the third time they actually noticed me on these trips. I started going to school for the first time in ages since I was usually home schooled, and I had no skills whatsoever in making friends. To be honest, I didn't even like many of the kids here. They were all so different: some jerks, others weird or crazy. Even being obsessive of stuff was actually part of the school. I was able to at least find one normal kid there, Carrie the ghost actually. I never understood this town and it's insane events, but she was one of the only people here that actually keeps a level head too. I just hope I can survive this place, because I'm sure havoc is the one thing that keeps this town going.. "
