Heres some sketches of the characters for the game i am working on right now this sketches were made long time ago when i just started working on this last semester, i am sorry for uploading such a pile of rough sketches usually i prefer to upload a more finished work but in this case i will do an exception since i want to show you guys the full process of making a game or at least the most i can

First you have to start with an idea of what the game will be about and then you start with the concept art, you have to sketch the design of the characters and you keep trying with different designs and shapes until they get a "definitive" design wich you are satisfied with

Here you have some other designs for Nick Googles for some reason at some point i though it was a good idea to give him a really long spiky hair XD but not only that would have been really hard to render and to do the modeling but it also didnt even looked that good so i scrapped that idea. In the third page i was deciding what kind of eyes he should have, between really separated round triangle shaped eyes, "half of a circle" rounded eyes, or big "window" oval shaped eyes, at the end i decided to go with the "half of a circle" rounded eyes.
