Lol i don't see many differences between both honestly. Maybe because i do mostly digital paintings myself and i see when an image is really drew from scratch or a trace over. Do you see lots of improvments that makes it stand out in front of the original?? I wouldn't say! At least not to deserve a DD over the original, hell no and w/o giving credits either.

Well you're right there that it is very similar since the artist didn't change much 
I wonder if the suggester and CV were aware at all that the reference photo was taken from here. I personally would have never discovered it if it weren't for your comment
