Came across my old drawing of Hiroko Anzai and it just looked off to me. So, I decided to revise the whole image. Face looked way too flat due to the hard lines, eyes needed some "volume", especially the iris and on the eyelid creases. Same with her brows, plus I had made them too thin. The chin was kind of too long and the hairline had to be higher. Also, I corrected the whole face shadings, because the areas seemed kind of unrelated to each other. And that nose...I was a little surprised how much her facial expression changed even though it was only details that had to be modified.

wow, initially I hadn't noticed any necessary changes that needed to be made, but as I look at the two and read your comment I see what you mean. Overall I think both of the pieces were stunning but the little changes you made, improved the drawing all the more. lovely work!

If I had to choose which one was which I wouldn't be able to tell them apart, but it's only the artist herself who can see the big difference in the small details, I know it for myself.

Verstehe was du meinst. Ich verbessere meine alten arbeiten eigentlich nicht. Stattdessen zeichne ich sie meistens neu wenn ich die Lust dazu habe.
