The use of the blur came together very well. It sets up a little contrast between the hard lines in the fire and around the collar. Is that the texture from that hat again that I'm seeing off to the right?

i know the one you're thinking of, and it's from inside erik's hat. i've used this one in the wild things one, but it's definately from wallpaper. glad you're keeping tabs on where i steal my textures from though

The tape gives me the feeling this is a newspaper cliping taped to the fridge, which is interesting.

Well, you were right. As good as the previous one was, this one tears it up! The figure itself is some of the strongest figure work I've seen you do (plus just the design again, of course). The colors and textures in the background, along with the little pieces of tape holding the thing together, are just amazing.

I'd tried tape in some of more experimental art a few years ago (or more), and I've never gotten back around to doing much with it and other textures. I really want to, though...maybe I'll try this summer.
