How are you able to make your planets so detailed? I've got a few of my own, but they're no where near as impressive as yours. Most of mine are based on a couple of tutorials that I found online.

Hey LordStephen, I'm glad you like my work. To be honest the process is probably very similar to yours, my advice would be spend some time collecting high resolution textures and satellite images (royalty free) and then do a few tutorials on image blending etc. to put them together. Also look at some big budget sci-fi films that have space scenes in them and spend some time dissecting those scenes so that you better understand they way they are composed.

Ah. Thank you for the advice. I'll see what I can do about all of that then.
I think it's the image blending that I haven't done yet. I've mostly done brushes with a couple of different textures to create what I need for the planets. But this sounds like it'll give me much higher quality pictures!

Yeah, I know. If you take a look at some pics I've got you'll see that they weren't exactly the greatest when I first did them. This one for example. XD But some of those were done via tutorial minus pix so I didn't expect them to be all that great. You can see in this one I've improved greatly.
So I'll do what I can to look for the textures and tutorials.
