I read a fanfic that featured this. She was one of the more expendable drones (with derped eyes even as a Changeling) who accidentally killed the super-soldier that Chrysalis was going to send in to spy on Equestria prior to the wedding and went in their place instead. As her only clear order was "spy on the pink princess" (Cadance), she instead gathered all the info she could on Pinkie. And only learned her mistake when Chrysalis asked for her info. So she made some stuff up about Cadance, like how she's a bit of a stuck up bitch. And that's why Chrysalis didn't seem to be putting too much effort into actually trying to act like Cadance.
