...no? Vinyl's never been a dude. Admittedly, she's the character second-most-commonly mistaken for male after Rainbow Dash, so there ya go. Generally, you can use the jawline to tell the difference - adult male characters on the show have a sharper, more prominent jaw. Female jawlines are curved. The standard male adult pony template also tends to be taller. Vinyl uses the stock female design - hair, glasses, and cutie mark aside, she's basically Rarity with Rainbow Dash's eyes.

the first original template of vinyl was a little bit yellowish, but in the fandom everyone draws her with a white coat, and seriusly , it looks a thousand times better xD
