Nah, my first reaction was 'Holy shit, she going to hit Twilight with a sledge hammer.' I thought that windup was to swing at Twilight when she got close, not to hit the portal.

You comic is very funny and you are probably aware of the following but.....
Was it really too hard for viewers to realize that she was planning (or bluffing) on damaging the statue to disrupt the magic mirror?
It's why she uses a sledgehammer instead of a rock or brick or really anything more suitable for breaking a mirror.
But then again I do like the image of Celestia catching a hammer in the face.

Well, the plot was moving so fast that catching her bluff would've had to have been something the viewer does within seconds. Possible, but Sunset was doing so many drastic things, that this couldn't immediately be ruled out.

Very funny indeed. The people who note that the joke's been done are correct (Silver Quill did it in his review, although I think it was Fluttershy it hit there) but it's still good to see someone put "pen to paper" and make a good comic out of it.
