Usually, in my drawings, I simply leave a quote in the description, but given the powerful nature of this painting, I believe an explanation is due, and I also want to convey a message with this. The picture depicts death, presenting a flower to a young soul it has come to take to the beyond, because even death itself knows such a meeting should not exist. I want to use this painting to express my solidarity with all the lives taken away by the wars happening in the world right now, especially the children, the most defenseless, who have to pay for the follies of adults. Life is a gift, and as the word 'gift' implies, it must be honored
