Plot:
(a month after Rayman Colors)

In the past of the Pink Plant Woods, Classic Rayman is exploring until he hears a noise. Suddenly, the Dark Timer appears in the sky and the screen washes white. In the present day, Rayman celebrates his birthday with his friends until a mysterious entity known as the Dark Timer destroys the party, sucking everyone through various "time holes" and scattering them across different points in Rayman's past. Rayman tries to defeat him, but is easily overwhelmed by its power. After regaining consciousness, Rayman finds himself in a strange dimension known as White Space, a realm where time and space end up after they have been 'erased' by being drained of color and life. Rayman rescues his best friend Globox, and as they search for their friends, they encounter versions of themselves from the past, referred to as their "Classic" selves. As the two Globoxs determine that the Dark Timer's actions are damaging time and space itself, which is why it's white and lifeless, both Classic and "Modern" Rayman race through their history, restoring time to normal and rescuing their friends. The also realize at one point that the Dark Timer's weakness is Moonbeam Stars.

Gameplay:

Classic Rayman: Put in a 2D view. He can use his powers that were in Rayman 1, like throwing fists, swinging on Purple Lums, and using his hair as a helicopter.

Modern Rayman: Put in a 3D view. He can use his powers that were in Unleashed and Colors. He can still swing on vines and ropes, throw fists, ground pound, swipe punch, use his helicopter hair, sprint, Lum dash, and preform combos while in mid-air or punching.
