lol Nice one. Does Marvel even still own the rights to print ALF related material? Star Lord has some ALF stickers on his old tape player in the movieverse, but that could just be 'cause he's a child of the 80's.

ALF was a licensed property, like Strawberry Shortcake or Star Wars. Marvel could reprint the issue, but only if they give Paul Fusco money. Considering Marvel never renewed the license for ROM despite a great deal of fan interest, this seems unlikely.

To my knowledge, once Disney owns a property, they lock it in a vault somewhere until they can figure out a way to sell it. Who knows, this comic could actually sell. Lol

Oh yeah, poor guy who had Spider-Man abandon his morals and barter with the Devil in order to waste a couple more years with his geriatric aunt over a lifetime with his loving wife. And why? Because "marriage is icky, yo".

Excellent composition. The image is framed very nicely by the buildings and the repeated shape of the border/interior window ledge, and the eye travels perfectly from the title to the ALF logo.

You utilize the movement of the web, the relative size of the characters and the intensity of the colors all to get the image to read just how you want it.

You know your stuff lady.

Right? I don't have anything against the concept of a Spidey-kick, but why does he have to be a complete tool?

DarkKnightJRK In reply to SeanMcFarland [2012-09-09 00:42:52 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's not like Peter himself wasn't a bit of a tool between the moments where he got his powers and when Uncle Ben gets 86'ed--but it does do a better job of giving him more character, I think; even in Amazing Fantasy #15, where basically every panel is a full scene.

Thanks so much! Your idea, yes?

BigMike20X6 In reply to Theamat [2012-09-07 03:47:42 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, this was one of my suggestions. I love that moment at the update when I see the piece and think 'Awesome, they liked my suggestion and drew it'. I've always been a fan of Spider-Ham and the 'ALF-Alpha' joke seemed fairly obvious to me. ^_^
(Trivia tidbit -- Spider-Ham and ALF both have cameos in the X-Babies mini-series though have no dialogue and appear in about 2 panels each)

I do realize it, yes. And I never take it for granted. I have lots of fun coming up with ideas for you guys to draw and it's been great fun these years (I've been making suggestions since TLiiD's first week and have had a blast making friends with the artists and watching their style grow and watching their process.

I'm trying, hon! Just gotta come up with better ideas for you all, I guess...

I mean I tried to pair you up with Kyle, you know? :giggles:

Theamat In reply to beccablast [2012-09-08 01:34:36 +0000 UTC]

That was YOU?!! Lol... Do you know some of the guys actually thought about that one, but they all backed off putting me on paper. I wasn't going to do it, but I did invite them to give me superboobs.

I think the key here is mass tweeting ideas. My husband gets one or two in a month at least from one of us. I try not to look at who tweeted what, so I won't be biased. I just draw what I can see in my head first, especially if it gives me a chuckle right off.
