Description
This is Beth again, a little older this time. A most difficult painting - the heavy contrast is really difficult in watercolour. This is 8" by 10". There's a penciled measuring line floating above her head - glad I noticed that before I matted it.The watermark seriously obscured her face, so I removed it - please don't swipe my work. ^_^

yes.. and I think you got it good.. you just don't know it
a painter friend of mine has a plaque in his studio that says .. it takes 2 people to create art.. one to paint and one to stand behind him with an ax

... eventhough half of her face is in the shadow, you can still see the glow/expression on her face, well done

Thank you so much! We went through a big stack of photos to choose the references for the paintings, and I didn't realise how difficult it would be to get the heavy shadows. Glad you like it! ^_^
