The Official design for Mega Rayquaza! Horrreeeyy Crap this thing is one epic looking beast!! im so glad this is a thing, i just cant even...This Pokémon was first revealed during a livestream of Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. Towards the end of the livestream, Junichi Masuda revealed this Mega Evolution. It is said that the reason that it is a Mega Evolution, and not a Primal Reversion, will be revealed in-story. It is also said to Mega Evolve in a way different to other Pokémon.
In addition to this, it gets an awesome new move the can one shot a lvl 100 swampert without a crit or anything, and an insane new ability, this monster is going to be so powerful.
Seeing as the sketch was done on mostly screenshots i took from the stream while i was watching, im pretty pleased with how this turned out!

Actually, in the original Ruby and Sapphire games, Rayquaza was able to be captured. Only in Emerald where all three able to be captured with Rayquaza as the mascot of the game.

Mega Rayquaza is an Very interesting design. I like it.
But this is my question. WIll Mega Rayquaza become a Dragon/Electric type? or remain the same Dragon/flying type? If you look at this bad boy, it is more like the typing just like Zekrom.

He remains Dragon/Flying i believe, I would like to seem him as an electric type, but then wouldn't that give primal groudon an advantage over m-Rayquaza seeing as he is Ground/Fire (and then put kyogre at even bigger disadvantage?)

Well you are right about that one. as Ground types kills electric types.
But if you think about it, Primal Kyogre can easily one-shot Primal Groudon with a water attack. (Provided Primal Groudon's ability doesn't override Kyogre's ability. and Kyogre can learn Ice-beam, Allowing Kyogre to one-shot Rayquaza.
I did see Mega Rayquaza's ability. which will weaken the 4x Ice weakness to 2x. So I guess It was made to sorta balance the trio when they fight each other.
Man There is so many changes that it feels kinda whack to keep up.

That I can see already. If Mega Mewtwo was already quite OP. Mega Rayquaza will just be as OP as mega Mewtwo.
I did win against a player who used Mega mewtwo, But it wrecked half of my team and I barely won the fight.
