Ta-da! Here is Garun the Gold, my entry for the Mascot contest. :3

I thought, since this group is for ALL gryphon artists--who enjoy splicing every possible pair of creatures--the very best thing to use for the mascot would be the most traditional gryphon possible. How could a lovely but zany creature cover all our bases? So thus Garun was born--eagle x lion, with golden fur and feathers and bright purple underwings. (I like mallards, ok? XD ) He is a king among gryphons, charming and fair, with a creative streak wider than the Grand Canyon and maybe a bit of an ego to go with it. His green eyes reflect his home, DeviantArt, and he proudly wears a band on his left wing-arm that shows where he came from.

That said, Whee! This guy is finally out of my hair; this took me far longer than it should have. I have little hope of winning this contest, considering the staggering number of FANTASTIC entries, but it was a lot of fun anyway! And I love this guy so much I may wind up repossessing him if he isn't chosen, and using him for myself instead.
