In remembrance of a certain werewolf and his (usually) pink-haired wife...sniff sniff...As a rule, I almost never do fanart, but I felt that the end of the Harry Potter era (the publication of Deathly Hallows) deserved at least a little recognition. So right after I finished the book, I picked my biggest peeve about the overall pretty decent ending and illustrated it. This is a memorial to Lupin (grey, in the back), Tonks (pink-ish) and little Teddy (blue). I don't care what the stupid epilogue does or doesn't say, but *I* think that Teddy will be a color-changing shapeshifter. It's only fair.
(And YES, I KNOW that Tonks isn't a wolf, but her Patronus is, so same difference!)
Anyway, a final adieu to my two fav characters. I'm kinda fond of the piece, and I like how it came out.
A couple of hours in Photoshop with the indispensible smudge tool.

In a draft, Arthur Weasley was supposed to die and Remus and Tonks were suppossed to live... I kinda wish that she would have stuck to that draft... her reasoning for not killing off Arthur was that Harry had already lost too many parental-like-figure people, but I think that Remus was way more of a parental-like-figure than Arthur.
I like to believe that Teddy has some weird awesome power that is triggered during the full moon, like super animal senses or something like that.

Yeah...I agree with you about Remus; I do like Arthur but all he ever did was act confused. Lupin actually protected and helped Harry...
I like all the European ideas of how one becomes a werewolf, like being the seventh son in a family or being born on the winter solstice. To this day seventh sons born in South America are blessed specially to keep them from becoming werwolves!
