Httyd2 was more interesting, but the Lego movie was full of social commentary. President business showed how business and politics are so close together, and he used money as a weapon.

honestly overall I thought HTTYD2 was a better movie in general.

I'm afraid that the_master_of_magic and I would have to disagree. "Lego" is, -oh I dunno, like a BILLION TIMES BETTER THAN THAT OVERRATED BUT STILL LOOKS GOOD "DRAGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "Lego" starred Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Chris Pratt, IT WAS THE BEST OF ALL 2014, END OF STORY, SO SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!

This is one one of the biggest issues with is fan base, espically with that article how it all just "HOW DARE DID THAT MOVIE MOVIE BEAT THE BEST ANIMATED MOVIE EVER!!!" (and I'm not even joking about it), and I find LEGO Movie, personally, overrated.
Also WHY does he have to keep doing the same thing, I mean yes we get it he doesn't like the movie, he doesn't have to keep saying it over and over

I'm not saying "Dragon" is anything bad at all. In fact, someday I would like to see it. But personally, the Lego Movie has better animation and detail, helluva LOT funnier, AND IT HAS MORGAN F#%ing FREEMAN!!!! END OF STORY!!!

I like the themes in both movies, like the freedom of creativity in The Lego Movie, but I love the themes present In HTTYD2 more. The Lego Movie was funnier though.
