Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 1974, a film loosely based around real events and the film that set the stage of man horror franchises to come. Similarity still follows however with this franchise as well, strange sequels and remakes; even the iconic shots from the original are recreated. Leatherface being the poster boy with a creative design to boot, also seems to change from movie to movie. I prefer his simple setting in the original movie rather than the remakes trying to explore his origin, mystery is what I prefer. Regardless, I highly recommend the original 1974 film if you get a chance.
