So it’s been awhile, but I decided to revisit this quickly.

Don’t get me wrong, I have loved every stage of this drawing. This is the rare one that I don’t think had an “ugly stage.” Each phase of the process has its own personality and flair, and it’s such a cool progression.

BUT, none of the previous versions, pretty as they are, are quite what I imagined originally. So I took another page out of Gretlusky’s book (not literally I would never 😫) and sent this to Procreate to make some adjustments.

This was just a really quick overpainting and again not really anything like Gretel’s process, but definitely inspired by it! And I think I got mostly there this time. These adjustments really gave it the magic I was picturing with the original sketch.

So what do y’all think? Which version in the process was your favorite??
