Running Through Rain *SnuggleMao One-Shot* Part 1Mao Mao paced through the small sheriff's department the team called there home. He was quite tense at this very moment. Even though nothing was going on tonight in Pure Heart valley. Everything was great! No monsters in need of protecting the citizens from, no one was getting hurt. It was the perfect night! Maybe he was anxious cause his two pals Badgerclops and Adorabat were out to a foodie convention without him. Mao Mao wanted the two to have some time together considering he had been training Adorabat most of the week. So he figured it was only fair to give the two some space for a night.
"Ugh...Tonight's just gonna be one of those night huh.." The cat groaned in annoyance as he slumped onto the couch. He looked around as he gently wrapped his cape around himself, gripping onto it tightly. He couldn't lie. It was lonely without his friends around. Maybe that was what was grinding his gears tonight. Running Through Rain *SnuggleMao One-Shot* Part 2Mao Mao began to lie down a bit more than before, not only purring but now also giggling softly. This made the king smile a bit more. Before the king knew it Mao Mao had lied down leaning his head on his lap. He was fast asleep. Snugglemane continued to pet him anyway enjoying how sweet and gentle the hero was when he was tired. The king chuckled before speaking softly. "Aren't you just adorable~" Mao Mao continued to sleep not hearing the king talk at all. "I wish we could be like this more often Mao Mao..." The king mumbled a soft smile on his face followed by a bright pink blush. "But I have the feeling I may like you more than you like m-"
Before the king could finish Mao Mao's eyes began to open. Mao Mao at first didn't notice what he was doing because he was feeling groggy. He looked to his side to see he was only holding a pillow and not the king he had fallen asleep next too, Mao Mao ended up staring at the pillow for a moment before he gently sat up looking somewhat disappointed. Sure he knew the king had to go home and couldn't stay with him all night but he wanted him there next to him. He wanted him to be there with him. He softly put one of his paws onto the pillow where the king had been lying. These new feelings were making him feel very differently about this kind of situation. Normally he wouldn't care if someone had to leave. But for some reason this made his heart scream out. Mao Mao sighed sadly before lying back down and wrapping himself in his cape in a lonely kind of way.
