Description
I recently rewatched Alien and Aliens and was reminded of how great, classic monster movies they are but it also reminded me of how Alien 3 was pretty odd and bad. Heck ever since Alien 3, the Alien franchise has been pretty weird what with Resurrection, the prequels, and crossovers with 1 only being good. That’s why I decided to try and make my own version of Alien 3 that combines elements of the other movies into one that I think would have been a good way to end the Alien trilogy.

We open on a Weyland-Yutani mining center on a planet digging around, revealing this takes place around the same time as the events of Aliens. Due to digging too hard, a crevice forms and some miners fall in, but luckily they are unharmed and look around the area for a way out. They do but are surprised to find the remains of an alien ship. They look around and see that the thing is still a bit intact but are more surprised to see a batch of Xenomorph eggs, which one of the miners calls his boss telling them the planet had more than what they were looking for.

We then cut to the ship Ripley and the others got in at the end of Aliens where in a similar scene to that movie’s opening, their spaceship is picked up and the crew is rescued saying they were missing for almost a decade but in a twist we see that the characters have aged since the events of Aliens. Apparently their cryopods were slightly damaged which caused them to age at a very slow rate. This explains why the characters are now older. Just like with Ripley in Aliens, the survivors would be asked by Weyland-Yutani employees what happened during their mission and why it resulted in the colony being wiped out, but they tell them the truth which makes the people angry but they are clear to go and rest. Unknown to them some people are contacted by one of the Weyland-Yutani employers which eventually leads to the ship that is carrying Ripley and the others to be hijacked, and the protagonist are taken as prisoners.

They end up on an uninhabited mining planet which is revealed to be a secret “prison” Weyland-Yutani uses to keep those that know too much from revealing their secrets to the world. Here people are well treated and are allowed to do things like walk around the area, garden, heck even Bishop (or Bishop 2.0 as he has a new body) is able to stay with his memories intact, but there are guards nearby and it’s here that Ripley does bond with one of them and doesn’t like working for the company but has too as it’s the only way he can support his family. Eventually the protagonist slowly learn that the prison is also a laboratory as there are Xenomorphs on the planet which are created by people who tried breaking out or break any rules, but during their time frozen the people at Weyland-Yutani FINALLY realize that these things can’t be controlled, so they created a “farm” of sorts as they breed and kill Xenomorphs in order to harvest the monster’s blood and skin so it can be sold as weapons. The company has also found a way to alter Xenomorph DNA and have made their blood less dangerous to a degree that it can only hurt biological stuff when in a gas form. Along with leading to something I will explain later, the blood thing got a bit old as I do recall some scene where someone who should have died by their blood didn’t. The protagonist also discover that they are reverse engineering the tech they found on the alien ship but unknown to the everyone there, a beacon has been activated and a familiar looking figure has picked it up and its ship is on route to the prison planet. Ripley of course hates all of this and thus she and other characters try to break out the prison so they can expose Weyland-Yutani and vowing to wipe out all the Xenomorphs in the area, not knowing the mysterious figures are in the area. While they try to escape the figures do their own mission of destroying all the alien tech the scientist discovered, as well as killing the Xenomorphs (which they seem to have knowledge about as they are able to handle them with ease) but this results in the facilities power going out and causing the Xenomorphs to get lose.

Ripley and the others fight some Xenomorphs off while getting close to escaping but they get caught where the guards and scientist think they let the Xenomorphs out so they sentence them to death via facehugger, but luckily (if you can call it that) one of the mysterious figures from before and its associates comes and kill some of the bad guys revealing that it is a PREDATOR! Ripley and the others are able to escape in the confusion and fight off Xenomorphs which thanks to all the genetic altering has made it slightly easy to do and eventually kill a good chunk of them. which gives them a moment to breathe but in a surprise one of them is killed but are shocked to see that he was killed by a Xenomorph with WINGS! They try finding it off but its aerial ability and it seemingly being as strong as a regular Xenomorph makes it hard, causing them to retreat behind a door where they make a horrible discovery. Throughout the movie we clearly see that one of the head scientist is up to no good and here we learn what it is. Turns out there were some unwanted results by changing the genetics of Xenomorphs but instead of destroying them, he was hiding them and here the heroes go through the files learn about the existence of several new variants of Xenomorphs, and good ones this time like the previously mentioned Xenomorph with wings, one with 2 heads/tails/and an additional set of arms, and a big one that while slow has really thick skin making him immune to human weapons AND fire making him like a juggernaut and how they are all loose in the area due to the power going out earlier.

We see the heroes and the Predators fight the new Xenomorph types, leading to some deaths like decreasing the Predator party to 2 survivors consisting of the leader and a female Predator which is implied to be the leader’s mate. Eventually the 2 groups officially meet face to face and seem like they will fight but like in AVP, they team up and kill a Xenomorph and after seeing Ripley is a warrior in her own way (one of them was there when she stated that she vowed to kill all the Xenomorphs) and the two groups become one, symbolized by one of the Predators giving Ripley a Fallen Predator’s gun. I also could see a cute moment where Newt bonds with the female Predator, saying she likes her dreadlocks which the alien enjoys. Everyone heads to the Predator’s ship but along the way they see some Xenomorphs herding some of the survivors (some being those who got Ripley and co. captured) down an elevator, which Ripley finds a bit odd as they usually either kill humans or knock them out and drag them to the nest to place face huggers on them, but when a facehugger does appear and scurries to the captives a Xenomorph kills it, shocking them all but the others tell her they have to move. They arrive on the clocked ship thinking they are going to finally escape the planet and blast the area in orbit which Newt didn’t like as she thinks there can still be survivors especially after seeing the thing with the facehugger killing Xenomorphs, but the Predators reveal they aren’t leaving as they are there to get a bomb which they will use to blow up everything, which Hicks doesn’t really like as they could just do the same thing in space and wondering why they have such a thing and here we get an origin story about the Xenomorphs.

Along with hunting humans, the Predators also hunted another race of aliens but over the millennia the race advanced to the point that they were able to fight back against the Predator species and when it reached a stalemate the other race created the Xenomorphs as a bio weapon to wipeout the Predator species, but it evolved much quicker then they realized and the race themselves were wiped out, and seeing what they have done the Predator race have taken it upon themselves to hunt down the Xenomorphs when they appear. They head towards the heart of the prison as it’s the key spot to place the bomb and make sure everything gets destroyed where they are shocked to see that the captured humans are being forced to repair a spaceship FOR the Xenomorphs to use and this is being done by a genetically altered Xenomorph Queen who shows to be high intelligent to a point it is using a device to talk to the humans. The group split into two teams, one goes and save the hostages while the others place the bomb and fight the Xenomorphs. We get an intense climax here as everyone is fighting for their lives, which gets crazier when the Queen gets involved. The humans along with Hicks and Bishop 2.0 are able to escape but Ripley, Newt and the Predators get trapped which is then followed by the wounded Predator and Ripley telling their loved ones to escape which they sadly do. The Predator and Ripley are able to hold back the queen long enough for the bomb to go off, pretty much destroying most of the planet, with both ships getting away from the blast zone.

The movie ends with Hicks and Bishop using their knowledge and data backups to expose Weyland-Yutani, closing down the company for good and getting any surviving bad guys arrested.

Meanwhile the female Predator has taken Newt to her leader. While the Predators talk, Newt states that just like Ripley she is going to dedicate her life to find any surviving Xenomorphs and destroy them until they are all gone. The leader looks at her at first, trying to intimidate her but when Newt doesn’t flinch, is impressed by this and he gives her a combistick, symbolizing that she is now part of the Predator clan and will be trained as one by the female Predator, who maybe is revealed to be pregnant with her Predator mate’s child.

Sure there are flaws in the story and might have a bit too much fanservice, but you can’t deny that this is better than other Alien movies. What are your thoughts on my rewrite?
