We've seen Clank get all kinds of upgrades throughout the Ratchet & Clank series from his iconic heli-pack, ability to grow, and components that allows him to be unaffected by time and to go into dimensions/space between dimensions that others can't. Now that he is sporting a new arm, I can see it leading to the people at Insomniac games giving Clank more upgrades that I think could change his gameplay for the better and I got a few ideas for some upgrades.

One obvious idea is giving him a Swingshot like Ratchet, that way he can swing across gaps or reach higher places and maybe use it to pull things closer to him like in Going Commando or like Spider-Man's web shooters.

Another wilder idea is that Clank can use his new arm as a weapon by shooting out small energy blast. It has been some time since Clank used a weapon and the idea of his segments having more combat in it sounds interesting. I can also see it having uses for puzzles, as in one case I can see him shooting out electricity bolts that can charge machinery for him to use and in another case where his new arm allows him to harness his Zoni powers (something some fans wished was brought up again) which could allow him to slow down or maybe even speeds things up.

Since I'm on the topic of Clank's new arm, I want to bring up the idea of being able to customize the appearance of it. This could be done though customization or good old skins where it could sports designs such as his arm's original colors, an Iron Man design, and those with tattoos like a pic of Ratchet's head, a hearted mom, and a mudflap robot lady XD.
