A lot of people love the MonsterVerse franchise cause along with getting good Godzilla movies, we're also getting King Kong movies AND crossovers involving the two iconic kaiju among with other popular kaiju, which is why I think the next big step for the MonsterVerse should be introducing Gamera into the franchise. I see his inclusion leading to some interesting stuff for the franchise.

For those that don't know, Gamera is a giant fire breathing, flying (via jets) turtle that was bio engineered by the people of Atlantis to fight other kaiju they made that eventually ran amuck and sank Atlantis. He protects the Earth (and children) for evil and is dubbed the “Guardian of the Universe”. I think he could fit into the MonsterVerse, especially the “Guardian of the Universe” aspect.

I see this version of him being made by the Atlanteans, which I can see being an alien race that temporarily visited Earth to study the kaiju on the planet in their flying lab called Atlantis. They created Gamera to be their protector and installed the ideas of justice and defending the weak from evil (aka evil monsters) before the race eventually was wiped out on their home planet, making Gamera travel the universe to save people that need help. He would arrive on Earth to take out a space monster from his franchise that was on a rampage, but would then soon go after Godzilla (who appeared in the previous fight) as he thought the King of the Monsters would be a threat to humanity. We later find out that Gamera hates Godzilla because he is a distant descendant of his archenemy SPACE GODZILLA, another experiment by the people who created Gamera and was the one who wiped out the Atlanteans, and conveniently soon arrives on Earth to kill Gamera as well as his recently discovered look alike. Gamera and Godzilla (maybe King Kong and/or another good monsters too) would then team up and defeat Space Godzilla, causing the crystal lizard to retreat so he could come back another day. Gamera would then see that Godzilla isn't that big of a threat to the people of Earth and flies off to outer space to continue helping others and try to finish off Space Godzilla.

Not only could such a movie featuring Gamera give us a Gamera spin-off series and be a way to include Gamera’s enemies into the MonsterVerse, but it could also be a great way to foreshadow the coming of things from the Godzilla franchise, such as the Nebulan aliens and Gigan, another one of Godzilla’s most iconic enemies.

Do you think/want Gamera to be part of the MonsterVerse? What other ideas could you see happening with his inclusion? One I have is that the Atlanteans took some of Rodan's DNA and created the Gyaos race from the Gamera series. I also like the idea that while in Japan, Gamera saves a school bus full of kids who think he is a hero and at the end of the movie thank him by singing the iconic Gamera song as he flies back into space XD
