Description Not much to say, just that Unity is starting to grow on me. It helps that I also have #! on the other partition though for those moments...

Conky: [link] You might have to replace all eth1 with wlan0 or whatever your wireless interface is. Same for the eth0 but that's unlikely. Original conky was [link] I just added the network info and consilidated the bottom line. And changed the colors a bit, but only a bit.

How did you remove the edges outside the icons?

They're images located somewhere in /usr/share/unity/4/ (or 5 if you use 12.04). Just make a backup then open them in gimp (the ones who seem to be the edges) and clear them.

Glad you like it mate I thought about it, and about installing unity 5 here, but I'm not in the proper frame of mind for experiments right now. I'll patiently wait for the final in April.
