Description Page 64 of my MLP web comic Without Magic.

EDIT: An explanation of the Red Pill\Blue Pill joke can be found here perfectblue97.deviantart.com/j…

EDIT: YAY EQD www.equestriadaily.com/2015/08…

Before anypony reads too deeply in to things, this page is pretty much just a Red Pill\Blue Pill joke. Hint: Remember which pill is supposed to do what. There is no wider commentary on anything in particular.

If you notice any errors, please post them to my profile page, not to this page.

After this page, I'm going to dial back my pony comic release schedule, as it's simply taking up too much of my life (Plus, I want to finish the DLC on Fallout: New Vegas before I buy Fallout 4). So there will be fewer pages released for a while at least.

Um, given how Pinkie has been acting, is it really a good idea to mention Charlie...?

"Take the blue pill, and you'll continue with your life believing what you want to believe; take the red pill, and see how far the rabbit hole goes."

Basically, Morpheus is asking Neo if he wants to stay in the simulated reality he was living in, or escape into the real world.

In remember the scene even if I didn't liked the movie but from a not fourth wall breaking point, aka anyone but Pinkie Pie or the viewer. The whole thing is mare that got the wrong medication. This is how Twilight Sparkle and the other should see that.

Ah, the matrix of prozation.  Don't take pills Pinky, there's a wonderful green herbal supliment with WAY less side effects.  It's super fun, and you can even bake it up in some nice brownies.

Basil?

I'm not a big fan of the "other" option.

There's way too many people who've tried "the other" and have done something dumb.

When you live in a remote community you don't take anything that dulls your senses. Otherwise you'll end up dead in a ditch, or drowned, or trampled by cows.

iAmNotGoodAtNames In reply to TheBadFaerie [2015-07-18 18:21:53 +0000 UTC]

I suspected you were from the country ever since the biscuits and gravy joke.  LoL  Originally from Twiggs county myself, so I knows about me some back-woods .  Actually medicinal doesn't really dull your brain as much as you might think, mostly because you're using it in a much more controlled fashion.  I.e., the intended result is to smooth over your symptoms, not to get stoned out of your brain.  And bi-polar and anti-psychotic medication can be pretty dehabilitating in their own right, trust me.

TheBadFaerie In reply to iAmNotGoodAtNames [2015-07-18 18:55:12 +0000 UTC]

Where I come from, there's been a real problem with "the man" using heavy meds to put people into a stupor, because it's easier\cheaper to drug them into senselessness than it is to look after them. Particularly with kids and seniors. Kid acts up in school, drug 'em, it's easier than hiring a guidance councilor.

The other issue, I will respectfully disagree with you on that one. Every winter they are pulling bodies out of ditches, because they had more than they thought, and then decided to walk home without a jacket. Things that they have known their entire life not to do.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

iAmNotGoodAtNames In reply to TheBadFaerie [2015-07-18 20:32:40 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm, maybe it's a climate thing.  It's entirely possible that weed makes you not feel cold and I just never noticed because freezing to death isn't a thing here, generally speaking.
On the other issue, prozation's been a thing for a long time.  I've been digested by that system twice more than I ever wanted.  I hate the pill hole.  Always will.  But I do have brain spiders to deal with.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheBadFaerie In reply to iAmNotGoodAtNames [2015-07-19 11:04:25 +0000 UTC]

Weed impairs decision making.

It interferes with their ability to correctly analyze risk. They fill so relaxed about things that they think that they can make the walk home in a few minutes in the dark, when it would have taken them 30 minutes in daylight. Or it make them think that it would be a good idea to take a shortcut off the road, which leads to them getting lost in the dark, or going in the wrong direction.

You get this all too often in places that get very cold at night, or very hot during the day. People take some substance or other (drugs or alcohol), think that they are OK to make the walk, and then they die of exposure or dehydration. Even though they've lived in that environment their entire life.

iAmNotGoodAtNames In reply to TheBadFaerie [2015-07-19 11:36:32 +0000 UTC]

I definitely get the point you're making.  I've seen plenty of people over the years die stupid because they were just too drunk and/or high to realize they were being stupid.  Also lost friends because the pills they were on actually excellerated their symptoms.  Bad meds can make you crazy suicidal.  It happened to me.  I was lucky to survive and it took years before I could deal with the world again.  My point here is that medicinal and recreational use are different.  Very different.  Whether pills or weed, you're talking about raw, brute force alteration of brain chemistry.  That's something I think purely recreational users don't really respect like they should.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheBadFaerie In reply to iAmNotGoodAtNames [2015-07-19 11:53:28 +0000 UTC]

The thing with recreational drugs is ... unless you're a trained chemist you're not really in any position to use them safely. People just think that they are.

Nothing that messes with your brain chemistry can really be considered safe. Some substances are just less dangerous than others.

There was a study in England, where drugs laws are more relaxed than in most of the US. They found that a single type of weed was behind 1 in 4 new cases of clinical psychosis. 1 in 4 is a big number.
