i myself find this a beautiful photo.there is nothing better than love. whether it be a hetero or homo couple its still something beautiful and should not be picked at. i am inspired by your patience with the people who can appericate this. it would be so easy if they would just use respect when they comment something or it will only make it worse.again beautiful defintly faving.

I love it~
This this start out with a photo? cuz if it did, it just makes it that much better... I just found your gallery, and I definitely love it.
And also, regarding those very angry people that repeatedly slams on us, I really like how you responded. At times, though, they're just clamoring for a fight, so I sometimes just ignore them altogether Let them rant, but really, I wish they'd stop snapping at our necks and actually start focusing on the more important issues in the world.
btw... not only is that ART, its MORE than art... its pure beauty~ that's what love is

thanks! and yes it is based of a photo, re drawn with colors sampled from the original.
as for the haters, unfortunately ignoring them won't make them go away... but a respectful intelligent reply may teach them the error of their ways...

I find your beautiful way of handling homophobes both refreshing and inspiring, it is respectful, controlled people like you that allow me to be proud to be a member of the lgbt community, as many people i know would prefer a more threatening response that would only provoke more attacks,
thank you x

Thank you for your support!

It's fantastic and I hope you'll keep up the great work despite all the flamers. Just ignore the homophobic idiots, although I'm really impressed how you answer than calmly I think I would've snapped at them sometime through the (so called) discussion.
Anyway, fantastic drawing, I love it!

thank you for your kind words and support, it is greatly appreciated! I hope one day all the haters will be more respectful, so to that end I've chosen to be respectful in my replies to them... after all, the road to peace isn't paved with violence.

I'm not realy good at that. I can discuss well but when I get really emotional involved I get really bitchy sometimes. I know it's not quite the right way but sometimes I just get angry with so much stupidity and ignorance that I can't help it ^^'

that's understandable, I can appreciate an emotionally charged response to a topic you feel strongly about, I have been guilty of such responses in the past as well... after a while though i started to feel like I was just yelling at people who didn't see things the way I did. I realized that arguing with people wasn't helping my cause and only made me look like a raving mad man. so while I may go ballistic on this side of a message, I take a moment to calm myself and then type a civil reply to an uncivilized comment. sure, some times a bit of my indignation spills into a response, and I have to go back and edit what i type before i send it. but for the most part, I've found that a calm and intelligent reply usually silences the offender, and some times imparts a tid-bit of knowledge that they might not have been aware of in the first place. it takes a lot of self control to respond to some unenlightened individuals with the tact and courtesy that they seem to lack, but in the end it's more rewarding. a well written reply is much more memorable than a slew of profanities and unintelligent utterances.
the Internet is full of raving mad men (and women) and sometimes people enjoy making others respond "unprofessionally"; I refuse to give them that satisfaction. once they see that they can not bend or break you, they will give up and move along to someone with a weaker resolve to get their kicks. meanwhile, you become the bigger person for not stooping to their level.

Thats is really yeah one can say intelligent and well thought about. I'll try to think about it the next time I get really angry at someone and are about to type an angry reply. Sadly often you meet those people and even if I force myself to stay calm its a whole lot harder when the person is actually standing in front of you and you feel the urge to hit them in the face.
But none the less staying calm and rational is the goal that one should want to reach and I try to do so every time I get into an argument. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but it's always worth a try.

I just wanted to take a moment and commend you for the way you respond to flame comments. Instead of making it another pointless internet tete a tete, you make a point to calmly and rationally stand your ground, despite the fact that those particular commenters have no intention of hearing another view other than their own rhetoric.
I just hate to see someone's art picked apart solely because of personal dislike as opposed to a constructive critique.
and for those flamers: Not liking a particular artistic expression is one of the many freedoms we have as independant thinkers. The internet is a big place, feel free to explore your options.

I've found that universal truth: Violence only begets more violence. if the GLBT community wants to one day enjoy a peaceful equal and respectful harmony with the heterosexual community we need to start treating each other with respect. those who would come upon my artwork and post words of hate will be responded to with the respect they seem to be lacking with the hope that they can learn from it and be more respectful in the future. a mighty waterfall starts with just a single drop, just as peace begins with a single act of kindness or respect.
anyway, thank you for your kind words and support, it is greatly appreciated!

Is that like Pope Poo, Christ Crap or just Deity Droppings... and if so, would it be a Holy Relic to be worshiped by us lesser beings or should it just be flushed away like the rest of your insightful comments?

ok, so is your only contribution to this community been to slam someone cause they're not the same as you?
An yeah, it's art. I've noticed that you don't have anything p[osted in your gallery, why is that?
Why don't you show us what your art is, bigot?

thank you for your support on this! however, disrespect only begets more disrespect. while he may in fact be a bigot, calling him one only serves to invite an equally scathing reply from him...
I know first hand the abuse the GLBT community has suffered at the hands of the homophobic community, but the road to peace and understanding can only be paved with respect. how are we to expect their acceptance and respect if we do not treat them with the same generosities?
again, Thank you for your support, I can't thank you enough for that!

Homosexuality is not against nature, nor is it abnormal... In fact several animal and insect species on this planet prefer a homosexual coupling to that of a heterosexual coupling.
the Human race is in no danger of becoming extinct due to homosexuality, only a fraction of humans are homosexual, so therefor there will always be more people to carry on the species. Homosexuality has existed as far back as recorded history, If homosexuality was truly a threat to humanity's continued existence, the problem would have presented itself by now.
Furthermore, Intolerance is more disgraceful to humanity than homosexuality ever will be...
You may want to do yourself a favor, and educate yourself on a particular topic before venturing out into the world and letting your under developed thoughts define the image you hope to present.

Unless you and I are hooking up, that's none of your business and very rude to ask someone on a public page... I'm about this close to blocking you... I'm not a fan of blocking people, but if you continue to be disrespectful, I'll have no choice.

I'm Gay... and I have a LOT of fun...
life is all about having fun and being happy, if your not having fun, your probably not doing it right... you live longer when your happy too...
I'm sorry that YOU have a problem with 2 men kissing... (or maybe homosexual art in general) but I didn't make this image FOR YOU, I made it for ME and others who enjoy seeing 2 men kissing. Remember if you don't like it you don't have to look at it... much less comment on it...

I don't post my art to "provoke" anyone... however you seem to like to provoke a response with your comments of disgust.
heterosexuality is flaunted everywhere. as a gay man, I'm bombarded with images of heterosexuality on a daily basis. homosexual art, which has existed for centuries, helps to show others that it is ok to be gay regardless of What religious conservatives may say. homosexuality is here to stay, you can get over it and accept it, or you can let your fear of it cripple you for life. No one is trying to make You gay...
also, what you consider art is not always what others consider to be art... this image is art to me and I spent a lot of time making it... you may not like it, but I and others do...
