Description Microsoft's 1997 Surface PC was quite the success for the company, and was widely advertised as offering the union of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Facebook. Additional benefits came from its amazing 1366x768 resolution and 256 colour palette, and when coupled with the USB 1.0 input it made the Surface a viable gaming tablet. Initially derived from Windows CE and later 9x (Surface 98), later Surfaces would move to the NT code.

I miss when Windows was actually good; That's why I've gone to Linux

Either way, I still feel your pain, bro. I liked Microsoft/Windows up until 8, then I switched almost COMPLETELY over to Linux. Either way, Microsoft's like a friend you've hung out with for FAR too long; They're cool and/or fun at first, but, after a while, you either start to get tired of hanging out with that friend since he/she/they is/are getting boring and/or you start to find out stuff about that certain friend that you either wish you never knew this stuff and/or you wish that you NEVER met this person in the first place.

That being said, Microsoft was okay at first, but, after getting busted MULTIPLE times for copyright infringement (i.e. Internet Explorer, which was literally Netscape with the Netscape name taken off and having the Internet Explorer name slapped on there, Flip3D (which has been on Linux since around the XP-era (according to my friend), among other instances of violating copyright laws that either I can't remember at the moment and/or I just plain don't know about.... Yet.), spying on their customers and giving it sideways to the general public by overpricing their software, making it to where the consumer has to be able to shit gold bricks just to use the damned OS and.or its programs, not to mention that the costs of maintaining and.or repairing said-OS is so expensive that it's just outrageous. To be honest, unless you have REALLY good hook-ups, you can get some REALLY good free (NOT PIRATED) software and.or you work for the company/companies that make the software needed to keep, quite literally, every single Windows-powered machine running, maintaining said-Windows Machine yourself won't really make that much of a difference in the overall cost to run, maintain and/or fix said-Windows Machine; If there's any kind of diference in anything at all. In case that I've offended you, I'm sorry, but this is my God-honest opinion and I'm sticking to it. I could go on for quite a while about why I switched almost-entirely from Microsoft Windows to Linux in almost a heartbeat, but I know no one has the time to listen to, read and/or pay attention to my rant, so, because you're a fellow nostalgic soul like myself, I'll just stop right here before I get too nasty in my rant

Again, I hope that I didn't offend you in any way at all, I hope that you're having a great day and I hope that you're having a pleasant New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

With much respect towards a fellow fan of Classic Windows,

mesuki23.
