He is Nami's long lost younger twin brother when Nojiko found Nami she didn't find him. After 2 years being stuck there he left on his own and lived a rough life of beatings and hunger for months until he was saved by a female thief Demure De Sole a tomboyish beauty of a thief who used her wits and strength that didn't match her slender attractive appearance she was an 18 year old who had a lot of money she took Dalko in as her son.

They had a very loving relationship however on Dalko's 4th birthday the vicious pirate Razaka and his whole Army attacked the island. Demure was viciously killed in front of Dalko by Razaka. Then Razaka threw him and her corpse in their house and set it on fire Dalko survived the house burning down despite receiving severe spinal damage and burns.

When he woke up he saw the whole island exploding as Razaka did a Buster Call type of attack there were no survivors but Dalko. He some years at sea when he was 6 and starving and severely ill pirates attacked his small boat leaving him for dead. He was found by World Noble Saul Bigg. Bigg would take in children and abuse them and treat them like slaves.

Everyone there bullied and beat Dalko severely everyday Bigg and his staff did much worse to him though. At the age of ten he escaped and a month later he ran into Salzo Reike, the one who attacked his village and had the battle where Bellemere found Nami and Nojiko. Salzo told Dalko about the attack and his sister Nami and how he and some of his division survived the fight. He also revealed that he killed Nami and Dalko's parents personally for amusement and on Razaka's orders as Razaka is very sadistic.

Dalko ran away and when he was 18 after years of more pain and sorrow he found Bigg again and brutally murdered him and several others when he saw him kill a young girl named Gekia who was helping him.

Eventually Dalko was on an island that the Straw Hats visited and he recognized Nami from a locket that Salzo gave him even though since this takes place post timeskip she has long hair. She realizes that he's her brother and they reconnect at long last and Luffy joins the crew on their ship eventually though he and the Straw Hats are forced to face Razaka's forces will they survive.
