1948 - charlie brown makes his first appearance not in peanuts but in charlies Schulz first strip 'li'l folks' witch lasted from 1947-1950 charlie brown was rare in this strip unlike in peanuts which he was the main character

October 1950- the start of the peanuts comic strip charlie is different in these early years he was 4 years old in 1950 in the 1970s his age is 8 he was much more playful unlike his later self he also had romantic fellings for patty and violet two early characters he also had no zig zag on his shirt until December of 1950

1956-1957 charlie brown starts to act more sad and depressed as Schulz's art style changed
