Yeah! This is what happens when I'm not worrying about anything except for the shoot. No con schedule to deal with, no security personnel, no permits, and good windless weather.

It would be pretty darn difficult for me to get this kind of fake lighting at a con.

Fake lighting? I can see lighting on the camera left and camera right. That "sun" is not fake, is it?

In any case, getting multiple light sources set up at a con is difficult indeed. I would love to get my second light into the shot, but there usually isn't enough space!

You're right; I noticed that your "best" shots are not at the con, such as your model shots at the someone's house, the fashion shoot with the factory elevators at NYCC, and the fashion shoot in the park bathroom stall. Those all are distinctively different than your con shots, and the quality shows.

You perceive the lighting correctly. And that sun is very much real. But when you shoot into the sun like this you can get some bad glare.

And don't you have 3 lights?

I have 3 speedlights but only two light stands. The third light was for on-camera flash triggering via Nikon CLS before I got the PocketWizards.

If I need a third light, somebody would have to hold it. "Voice-activated lightstand" needed.
