Description
Look! I have another character! c:Don't have enough time to make a full ref for him so here's just a standalone.
I was inspired by this lovely creature dirjap.files.wordpress.com/201…
Name: Avarii
Gender: male
Height (ground to head): 5.2 m
Length : (head to tail tip): 20 m
Wingspan: 42 m
Home region: hills and evergreen forests
Just as his appearance suggests, he is friendly and gentle and will gladly help anyone in need. He likes to talk and he is definitely not shy and will openly say what he thinks about someone or something.
If he ever happened to be attacked by someone, he will try to reason with the attacker or, if that fails, he run away because hurting others is against his belief (plus he doesn't breather fire or anything for that matter).
One will most likely find him basking in the sun or flying above treetops.

Are his wings inspired by those of Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii? The Spiny Flower mantis has very similar patterns on their wings (and also they are really really adorable) <3
There are other species of Pseudocreobotra, Creobroter and Theopropus that have similar patterns. The stripes also remind me of Blepharopsis or Idolomantis.
You can probably tell I like mantises, because I raise them. ^_^

I don't know the name of the specie but there's a link in description to the photo of the mantis.
That's pretty cool
I haven't heard of someone raising mantises before x3

Ahh, yes, that's Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii. I have two of them, little babies right now - barely big enough for one fly. Cute little things though, they have tiny wing buds that have a very slight spot on them hinting at this pattern. In total I have 15 mantises of five species.
