As Everyone rushes off towards the Herd Grounds, Taiyo suddenly peeks out from behind a large tree, having been drawn to the camp by the racket from the struggle, and witnessing everything that had just happened.Having overheard Christopher's gloating about murdering all of the animals to punish Alex, and reviled by his sadism, Taiyo takes off running after the animals with the intent to help them defend the island.
