Actually, it was her successor, Lord Zedd, who made things into monsters. It doesn't really matter but I can be a detail person sometimes.

Oh yeah...
She just had a collection of monsters that she can make grow HUGE by throwing her staff to the Earth. Although I've always wondered how she got the staff back each time... and why the POwer Rangers didnt just take the staff.
