I think they'd cancelled that only for 10 or less episodes. I think nobody could translate it nicely.

Hmm... seems like I'd heard that somewhere before. I guess it makes sense since Animaniacs had soooo many American (and Western culture) pop-culture references that it would be impossible to contextualize it for a Japanese audience.

yeah, and it's more difficult to translate those songs too. but tiny toon was so popular with fun and nice translation here though. they did fab job with jokes and songs!
