rwa been a while huh xD This illustration can be interpreted in alot of different ways.. so im not gonna get into exactly what i was trying to portray here.. just so its clear though, those arent angels theyre demons x3please full view ^^
*edit*: okay.. im lazy so ill try to explain it a little xD i think what i was trying to illustrate here is that the demons, although invisible to the human since they are spirit forms, are constantly there (not literally but then again its just to illustrate xP), subtly whispering, seducing, and putting things into our minds (through various means) that originate with Satan... and thats why we should not trust in our own hearts.. but trust in God, because we are naturally inclined to sin.
the human is colored grey to symbolize its neutrality.. "those grey spirits who know niether victory nor loss" and he is "hollow" as in not having any knowledge.. but is only filled with misleading lies
also.. I tried to make the last line "but he who is walking in wisdom will escape" harder to see.. since the truth is hard to find, and few do
anyway this is just my interpetation of it xD you may or may not agree with it.. keep it to yourself please

Interesting. Those "angels" haven't bothered me in some time, though they do like to arrive at opportune times to tempt me.
Naughty naughty ... I like how you portrayed them as their angelic selves, only perverted ... that's the way they should be. They wouldn't be very appealing if they were ugly and had twisted horns and such, now would they? Lol. Evil has to be seductive and beautiful for anyone to want to follow it. Lol.

It captures and animates a lot in so many ways. Originally I thought they may have been guardian angels of some sort. ^^" It illustrates so well behind human nature in a spiritual sense, and there are so many meanings behind it. It's amazing.

hey alex, this is really interesting and i love how you're putting all of this meaning and things in your work. you're like the renaissance artists who paid tribute to biblical concepts in their paintings except you're doing it because you truly believe and want to, not because that's the only way you'll get paid. anyway i really like all of the depth in this piece, it really transcends most of the art done in this style, on lots of levels. oh, and the lighting is amazing.
