Built and luanched at Lucky's Yard for the Major Elecric Corperation, Diesel was sent to be tested by Captain Starr by MELCO to see how his diesel engine performed, however none of the tugs liked him due to atitude towards steam traction in Bigg City port, believing himself to be the best thing in marine engineering, however he was humiliated after an incident involving Old Rusty, some barges of grain and Billy Shoepack's Dynamite, he got revenge on the Star Tugs by telling lies about them to Scuttlebutt Pete, however he was found out after an accident with a tramper loaded with explosives and was sent to MELCO's factory port complex up the coast as punishment for all the grief he casued
